10. EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY.
Fall T mn. (Open to Freshmen who expect to Teach)
Three hours a week class recitations, one hour each week devoted
to observation work and practice teaching in training school.
This course will treat of those phases of educational psychology
which aid in the process of teaching in elementary schools. Its
purpose is to give as broad a view of educational ork as possible
to students who expect to teach after one year of College work.
Text.-Freeman's How Children Learn.
Parallel readings and reports from Strayer's A Brief Course in
the Teaching Roomn, and McMurry's Methods of the Recitation.
11. ELEMENTARY METHODS.
Winter Term.
Three hours class recitation per week, with one hour each week
devoted to observation work and practice teaching in the training
school.
Text.-Rapeer's How to Teach Elementary Subjects, with parallel
readings and reports from Strayer's A Brief Course in the Teaching
Process, and McMurry's Method of the Recitation.
12. PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING AND SCHOOL LAW.
Spring Term.
Three hours a week class recitations, with one hour each week
devoted to observation work and practice teaching in the training
school.

School Laws of the State of Texas, Bulletin 143. Special attention
