Saturday Morning
At a meeting called by Mr.
Fred Gallagher, chairman of the
Democratic Precinct Convention,
the following were elected to
serve as delegates from this Pre-
cinct to the County Democratic
Convention for the year 1950:
Delegates: Truett Smith, Fred
Gallagher, Paul Stimson, John
Calloway and Will Stewart. Al-
ternates: E. Housewright, John
Young, Will Barker, Frank Mc-
Millan and W. F. Duncan.

have returned home from a

H. M. McCollum of Piano was
in Wylie last Thursday.
Mrs. Carl Tollett of Lavon was
in Wylic on business this past
Thursday.
Mrs. W.' F. Jackson of Jackson-
ville, Texas and Mrs. Minnie
Walker of Waco spent the week
in the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.
P. Potts. Mr. Jackson came Sun-
day and accompanied them back
to Jacksonville.
Fred Gallagher, C. R. Smith
and J. H. Calloway were the
Election Judges for the Wylie
Box this past Saturday and Mr.
J. H. Ril'fe, Mr. F. E. Neilon, W.
W. Barker and Mr. T. S. Beene
were the clerks.
Rev. and Mrs. C. C. Ussery of
Texarkana, Arkansas, are new
visitors in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Charlie Seaborne here in
Wylie. Rev. Ussery is the pastor
of the Calvary Baptist Church in
Texarkana. They are spending
the week with her parents.
Mrs. Kent Thompson of Ville-
platte, Louisiana, is visiting with
her brother, Mr. Luther Baker,
in Garland this week. She was
seen in the Baker Equipment
Company in Wylie this past Sat-
urday morning.
Mr. Maurice Akins was seen in
Wylie this past Monday morning
doing some banking chores—the
reports from Mr. Akins reveal
that he has been having some
good luck on his shows down in
the East Texas regions.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe La Barbara
and daughter of Dallas were
visiting relatives here in Wylie
this past Saturday night.

Angeles, California, Mrs. Lee
Cook of McKinney and Mis. E.
Stratton of Lucas were guests
of Mrs. Louis Powell Friday.
Mr. and Mis. Johnnie Akin
and children, Paula and Jimmie,
Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Webb and
John Sarol all enjoyed a picnic at
Greenville pai k this past Satur-
day night.
Mrs. J. W. Akin was shopping
in Greenville last Saturday.

mother, Mrs John Stout. He and
his nephew Gerald, are enjoying
some fijhing trips.
Mrs. Marvin Moore reported to
Medical Arts Hospital Sunday
for an operation.
