♦ * . Still Building On A Foundation of Honest Food ServiceI
N UNWAVERING policy of quality merchandise, fair prices
and dependable service is the basis for the tremendous prog-
ress of Furr Food Stores from one lone country store in Kirk-
land, Texas, 32 years ago to the sixteen completely modern stores
throughout the Panhandle-Plains today.
C. W. Furr, president, and E. J. McCartt, general manager, have
been constantly alert to follow closely the demands of the public . . .
to be first with new ideas in merchandising, new products, new shop-
ping conveniences ... to maintain an organization of courteous, de-
pendable employees.
Furr Food Stores is a Panhandle-Plains institution for Panhandle-
Plains people. Every officer and stockholder of the organization is a
resident of this section.
