HIS BANK was founded in 1893, when the pop-
ulation of Amarillo was only five or six hundred
people, and the trade territory was a sparsely
settled ranch country. In the forty-five years since, we
have seen the Panhandle develop into a well-populated
farming, ranching, manufacturing and oil producing
empire. At the same time we have been identified inti-
mately with the growth of Amarillo from a village to a
town and then into an important regional city. At times,
drouth and depression have intervened; but we have
never seen Amarillo and the Panhandle stopped in their
rapid forward march.
We like and appreciate this country and its people.
We have tried to keep abreast of, and when practicable
to anticipate, the increased banking service needs of
our customers. Our bank is adeguate in capita! and fa-
cilities to meet all the usual banking service require-
ments of Amarillo and the Panhandle; yet we welcome
small and medium-sized patrons and have a sincere de-
sire to serve them well.
We vision a future just as promising as the past for
Amarillo and the Panhandle; and we are planning ac-
tively to do our part toward making this vision come
true!
