NEWM.E. CHURCH
Plans Being Hade for a Hand-
some Place in which
to Worship.
Plans are being made for the
erection of a handsome church edi-
fice for the denomination of Metho-
dists and which when completed
will be the finest between the cities
of Fort Worth and Denver. The
architect has been at work on the
plans for some time and should
have submitted them to the proper
committee yesterday and as soon
as they are accepted the contract
will be let and work will commence.
The edifice will occupy the lot on
Polk street where the Methodist
church now stands together with
the lot adjoining. The present site
is only sixty by one hundred and
twenty-five feet and the purchase
of the adjoining lot will make it
a hundred and twenty foot front.
The present building is entirely in-
adequate for the membership aside
from the visitors etc. and it is the
intention of those who have the ar
rangements in hand to erect a
building that will not be outgrown
iu a few years. The cost will prob
ably arrange between the figures of

anllo's wealthy citizens of that
denomination is said to be behind
the move and it is stated that no
pains or expense will be spared in
making it modern iu every respect
Some Fine Cherries.
Judge M. C. Martin who lives
two miles northeast from the city
has on exhibition at the Herald of-
fice several bunches of cherries
which were grown on his place
The fruit is very large and has an
excellent flavor and is but a sam
pie of what can be done in the way
of fruit raising in the Panhandle
Judge Martin has one of the best
orchards in this section of the state
including almost every variety 0
fruit that can be grown.

Bladder troubles almost always result
from a derangement of the kidneys and
a cure is obtained auickest by a proper
treatment of the kidneys. If you are feel-

taking Dr. Kilmer's Swamp-Root the
