President Ford told the supporters:1
America has the finest Army, Navy and
Marines in the whole world. We are going
to keep i t that way."
Ford emphasized that " the best way
to stimulate the economy is by a tax cut.
Industry should be given tax cuts to build
new plants and develop new technology.
These tax cuts were a better means of
solving the nation's unemployment problems.
After the speech, the President walked
into the crowd and shook hands with the
supporters.
Joining Ford were John Connaly,
Former Texas Governor, Congressmen Ron Paul
and Bill Archer and Mayor Loui Welch.
