TJ Applauds Outstanding Citizens
THE OPENING OF SCHOOL saw Debbie Linthicum,
Mike Owens, John Begnaud, and Mr. Rouel Rothenber-
ger honored as September Citizens of the Month.
Debbie was honored for her roaring support of the Jackets in Congress
and as a cheerleader. Mike's fantastic football efforts were rewarded.
t John's success in his demanding job as Student Body Congress President
was recognized. Mr. Rothenberger's enthusiasm for his new job as direc-
tor of activities was recognized and appreciated.Jerry Broussard, Patti Holton, Bryan Thompson and Mrs.
Carol Yancy were recognized as November Citizens.
Jerry's success in that demanding job of Senior Class president was reward-
ed. TJ saluted Patti's leadership of the Maroon and Gold Band and gave a
rousing cheer to Bryan for his football activities. Mrs. Yancy was recognized
as a fine teacher and a warm person.
OCTOBER NUMBERED AMONG ITS activities the election
of Steve Ritchey, Drew Schroeter, Christy Kelley, and
Coach Bentley Jones as Citizens of the Month.
Quarterback Steve Ritchey was honored as Athlete of the Month. He is a
great asset to the Jacket team. Christy's unlimited enthusiasm as Congress-
man was recognized. Drew's cheers have helped to drive the Jackets to vic-
tory. An outstanding faculty member, Coach Jones was honored for his
work with the football team.102
