for meritorious sendee as platoon
sergeant.
The citation reads in part: "Ex
hibiting determined effort sound
judgement and initiative he ac
complished all of ftis assigned du
ties in an outstanding manner.
"Through his abilities and ex
tensive professional knowledge
he contributed significantly to the
effective instruction of his pla
toon. His efforts are reflected in
the attainment by his platoon- of
an average proficency test score
of 97 percent.
"This score represents the high
est average score recorded by a
4.2 inch mortar platoon during
the present training mission of the
2d Armored Division."
Sergeants Donald D. Grassi Jr.
and Benjamin F. Shultz have
been assigned to Co. D 1st MTB
67th Armor.
Sgt. Grassi was last assigned
to Co. D 34th Armor at Fort
Kobbe Canal Zone and Sgt.
Shultz's last station was in Baum-
holder Germany where he served
