Boy Scouts Explorers and their

The Killeen Base Officers Wives
Club held its monthly business
meeting on Thursday October 8th
at 8 p. m. A corsage and a com
pact engraved with a map of Tex
as were given to the honorary pres
ident Mrs. Arthur W. Oberbeck
who expects to leave Killeen Base
this month.
After committee reports and dis
cussion of assignments for future
social events the meeting was ad
journed and Mrs. Charlotte Prince
whose husband is stationed at Ft.
Hood presented a program of bal
let waltz and Hungarian dance.
The beautiful Mrs. Prince who
has danced with German Opera
Ballet charmed the club with her
graceful dancing and pretty cos
tumes. After the dance program
refreshments were sented.
The next meeting of the Killeen
Base Officers Wives Club will be
games night October 22nd at 7:30
p. m. Bridge and canasta will be

to be taken to the hospital.

Club
The NCO Wives Club met two
weeks ago for their monthly busi
ness meeting and final plans were
made for the monthly hospital Bin
go. Mrs. Reams is now chairman
in charge of this Bingo. Tenta
tive plans were also made for a
rummage sale to be held in No
vember. a
This week there will be no after
noon meeting of the NCO Wives
Club. Instead there will be a fam
ily dinner at 7 p. m. at the Club
room.
Three new members joined the
club recently. They were Mesdam-
es Wethington Kent and Drisinski.
The dime drill was won by Mrs.
Snyder and the door prize went to
Mrs. Betts.
Last week the ladies met infor
mally for Bingo. Mrs. Quinn won
the coverall. Visitors for the day
were Mrs. Lamb and Mrs. Lewis.
