Little Ruth Brubaker while play-
ing fell on a lead pencil that she had
in her hand. The aharp end of the
ptn^i stuck in her mouth just under
the upper lip running up two inches
through the flesh. A physician was
oalled and took a piece of the wood
and lead out of the flesh.
Little Berl Hughes is getting well.
Mrs. Roy Eshelman and children
of Hereford visited at Mr. J. W.
Miller's Saturday night.

Short at dinner Sunday.
Little Hazel Bean spent the day
at Mr. Burve's last Thursday it be-
ing Miss Minnie's birthday.
Someone had a letter from Mabel
Dawson of Iowa. She said she was
homesick for the Plains of Texas.
Miss Bessie Ridgway is getting
Messrs. Palmer and Stephens
made a business trip to ths County
Seat the first of the week.
John Cramberg was at Friona dur-
ing the excursion.
Mr. and Mrs Stephens are the
proud parents of a new girl baby.
Mr. Brown and Ed Chappell were
Hereford this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Chappell are all
smiles over the arrival of a bouncing
baby boy. Mother and babe are
doing well and Ed is doing better.

Miss Jenette Jacobs spent Sunday
with Mrs. E. H. Shockley.

attended the sing at Cbanley Tice's
Sunday evening.
