lime-flavored favorite that's easy
to make ahead of time and store
in the refrigerator.

serts you've ever put on your
table. It's an especially delect-
able shade of green. This recipe
includes an idea everyone seems
to be talking about—adding
fruit-flavored gelatine to cake
batter.

Emerald Isle Pie
1-2 pound marshmallows
1-3 cup milk
1-4 cup lime juice
1-2 tea.-poon grated lime peel
1-2 cup coconut
1 cup heavy cream
few drops green food coloring
2 tablespoons toasted coconut
1 8-inch graham cracker crust
Melt marshmallows with 1-3
cup milk in covered saucepan on
simmer flame or on thermo-
statically controlled top burner
at 150. Stir to blend; cool; add
lime juice, peel and coconut;
chill in refrigerator until thick.
Whip the cream; fold in marsh-
mallow lime mixture. Tint pale
green with food coloring. Pour

To four eggs, add four table-
spoons milk or cream. Beat
-lightly, season with salt and
; pepper. Brown 1 cup dry cereal
in small amount of hot fat in
,-killet. Pour the egg mixture
! over the cereal and cook over
low flame, stiring constantly, un-
til eggs are thickened.
For added flavor, add finely
1 chopped shallots, chives or green
! pepper to egg mixture before
i cooking.
Poached Eggs in Milk
Melt butter or margarine in
frying pa:,. Add 1 cup of light
cream or milk. Break four eggs
into saucer, one at a time, and
slip into milk. Sprinkle with
crushed dry cereal. Cover and
cook over simmer flame until
eggs arc as firm as desired. Sea-
son to taste with pepper, ait
and paprika.
Serve on toast. Raisin toast
