Mrs. Ada F.lia Jackson, 8;i, of
Smithville and lifelong resident
of Bastrop County, passed away
at her home at t>: 16 y dock Sun
day morning, March 10 following
an illne-s of several months du-
ration.
Funeral services were held at
Mans Funeral Home in Smith
ville at 3 o'clock Monday after
noon. March 11 with the Rev.
A. C. Peterson and the Rev. J.
C. Watkins officiating. Burial
was there in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include three daugh

in Bastrop, Mrs. Jack-on was
the daughter of B A. Brun
dige and Lucy Ann Cartwright
Brundige. On August L 1892
she became the bride of F. H.
Jackson at Pleasant drove. She
lived a christian life, devoted
to her family and friends. A!
ways gentle ami kind, she lived
her long lifetime to its fullest,
bringing pleasure and comfort
into the ' lives of the many
friends she had the privilege
to know and enjoy for *o many
years. She was a member of
the First Methodist Churcli of
Smithville.

The Youth Committee has
made it own set of rules with
a good moral foundation, which
are as follows:
1. Members shall at all times
conduct themselves a- iadies and
gentlemen.
2. There shall be no drinking
of alcoholic beverages. No mem-
ber -hall be admitted to the
club who h:is been drinking else-
where.
There shall be no gambling
of any description.
i There shall be no loitering
. on the outside of or near the
clubrooni.
5. Club members wiio destroy,
break, or mutilate any furni-
ture oi equipment shall imme-
diately replace ,-ame or pay for
it.
>i. Member shall not transfer
member-hip cards to non-mem-
bers.
7. Fach member is re-ponsi-
ole foi keping any part of the
club or equipment he uses, clean.
v There shall Iv no profanity
oi vulgar language.
There shall be no disorder-
ly conduct.
10. Each club member shall
immediately and without pro-
test ie-pect the wishes and in-
• ructions of the adult person or
member officer in charge of
the club.
11. If any facilities of the club
.-hal. tie limited, members shall
take turns in the use of same.
12. There shall be no smoking
■!i the building.
13. The violation of any rule
shall be punishable by the for-
feiture of membership card and
rights of membership in the
1 club.
Student membership dues are
1 set at $1.">0 a year, the age li-
mit not to exceed 20 years. Hon-
1 orary membership will be 75
cent.- a year, which pertains to
; students who have graduated,
1 but who wish to be members.
Mrs. W. B. Townsend, presi-
dent. announced that a money
making project will be held in
the near future, which will be
the giving a way of a one ton
nationally known brand air con-
ditioning unit. Committee mem-
bers in charge of this project
are Mr-. Bryan Sanders, Mrs.
! Cecil Long and Mrs. Vernon
Schaefer.
Jerry Woehl has announced
that he will donate the Austin
Statesman and the Austin Am-
erican to the youth organization,
and will deliver the papers there
each day.
Now, adults, it is up to you.
The support of all churches
clubs, civic organizations and in-
dividual.* is needed for financial
aid and guidance. Be present at
the next meeting which is sche-
duled for Monday night, March
18, at S: 1 T> o'clock at the First
National Bank.
