Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Hodges are
announcing the engagement of
tht ir daughter. Miss Elma
Hodges, to Lt. Donald L. Ren-
slow, with the wedding to take
place in the early spring.
Lt. Renslow is the son of Mrs.
Bessie L. Kenslow of Glenville,
Minnesota, and attended the Uni
versity of Minn. -ota before en-
tering the service. He i.i sta
tinned at present at Camp Gor-
don, Georgia.

Lastrop High School, attended
Baylor University in Waco, and

Attends Red
Cross Meeting
A group representing the Bas-
trop County Chapter of the \-
'■ merican Red Cross attended a
meeting on 1954 Fund Campaign
at the Rice Hotel in Houston on
Friday of last week.
This meeting was for the
Southeast and East Texas Chap-
ters. The principal speaker was
Erie Cocke, Jr., of Atlanta, Ga.,
national vice chairman of the
l't54 campaign. Mr. Cocke is
presently associated with Delta
i C & S Airlines. He is a former
! national commander of the A-
! merican 1-egion.

Henry N. Bell, Hob Standifer,
the Rev. W. N. Schulze and Mrs.
