Card from County Auditor.
Belton, Tex., June 27, 1908.
To the Citizens of Bell county:
An objection is being urged by
Some to the candidacy of my son,
Charlton Hall, to the office of
county attorney of Bell county,
"That I am the auditor of Bell
county and will seek reappoint-
ment to the same office." I will
not stand in the way of the ad-
vancement of my son, and If he
Is nominated for county attorney
at the democratic primaries,
Jjuly 35th, 1908, I will not seek
reappointment of said office, and
refuse to be an aspirant for said
appointment.
My son, Charlton Hall, is now
assistant county attorney, and I
will permit nothing to be done by
me to stand in the way of his ad-
vancement. The old men must
make way for the young men, on
whom the responsibilities of life
must be placed.

Stomach troubles are very common
in the summer time and you should
not only be very careful about what
you eat just now, but more than this,
you should be careful not to allow
your stomach to become disordered,
and when the stomach goes wrong
take Kodol. This is the best known
preparation that is offered to the
people today for dyspepsia or any
stomach trouble. Kodol digests all
foods. It is pleasant to take. It is

Struck by Lightning.
On last Friday evening during
the rain on the Tyler farm south
of the city, Finly Freeman and
wife were severely shocked by
lightning, knocking them both
unconscious to the lloor. There
was a large oak standing near
th,e house which was struck first,
the lightning going from the
tree to the house. The walls of
the house were torn to splinters
by the stroke and the paper on
the walls took fire. Mr. Free-
man and wife recovered in time
to extinguish the flames which
had already filled the house with
smoke. On the same evening in
Taylors Valley, a buggy under a
tree, was together with the tree,
torn to pieces by electricity.

Nature ha° provided the stomach
with certain natural known as the di-
gestive juices, and it is through these
juices that the food we eat is acted
upon in such away as to produce the
rich, red blood that flows through the
veins of our body and thereby makes
us strong, healthy and robust: and it
is the weakening of these digestive
juices that destroys health. It is our
fault if we destroy our health, and yet
is so easy for anyone to put the stom-
ach out of orner. When you need to
take something take it promptly, but
take something you know is reliable—
something like Kodol for Dyspepsia

to give relief. It is sold by the Belton

pleased to learn that there is at least
one dreaded disease that scienced has
been able to cure in all its stages,
and that is Catarrh. Hall's Catarrh
Cure is the only positive cure now
knowh to the medical fraternity. Ca-
tarrh being a constitutional disease,
requires a constitutionrl treatmeht.
Hall's Catarrh Cure is taken inter-
nally, acting directly upon the blood
and mucous surfaces of the system,
thereby destroying the foundation of
the disease, and giving the patient
strength by building up the constitu-
