is vacationing with her grand-

Stanley.

iast week with her sons, Ray-

families in Deer Park. Her
grandson, Stewart, who had
been visiting here for the past
two weeks, returned home.
Mrs. Leona Blackman, Mrs.
Liila Neeley and Miss Lois Goff
of Conroe. are visiting their
brother, Albert Goff and Mrs.
Goff. Giad to have Leona and
Lois in the worship service Sun-
day morning.
Mrs. Jennie Turner of Houston
visited last week with her niece,
Mrs. Charles R. Murphy and Mr.
Murphy. Mrs. Don Dial and
daughter, Wendy, visiting last
Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Roberts of
Angleton visited last week-end]
with his brother, Shorty Roberts
and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Garnett Poweli
attended the funeral of Mr.
Powell's niece, Mrs. Patricia
Treadweil, in Emory last Satur-
day.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wal-
lace Jr., and son of Deer Park,
are spending a two-weeks va-
cation here with their parents
and grandparents, Mr. ana Mrs.
Raymond Wallace and Mr. and
Mrs. Ed May in Alto.
Linwood community joins me
in extending sympathy to the
family of Mrs. Ethel Selman who
passed away in Rusk Memorial
Hospital Wednesday night of last
week. Her twin sons, Lee Roy
and Tommy Troy, were in a car
accident a few weeks ago, and
in Nan Travis Hospital in Jack-
sonville. Due to the condition of
Mrs. Selman, she was not priv-
ileged to see her sons after the
accident and they were unable
to attend their mother's funeral.
Prayers are bemg offered for
these boys that they might have
a speedy recovery.
Mrs. Eula Cooper of Angleton
visited Monday with her brother,
Frank Engledow and Mrs. En-
giedow.
Mrs. Claudia Liles and Mrs.
Will Tom Liles were visitors in
Rusk Monday morning.
Mrs. Claud Rice and grand-
sons, Jimmy and Wayne Chap-
man, visited Saturday in Lufkin
with Mr. and Mrs. Claud Morris
Rice and son.
Mrs. Monk Jeter and Mrs.
Viola Scales were visitors in
Rusk Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kelley of
Douglass and Billy McWhorter
of Waco, a visitor in the Kelley
home, visited Sunday afternoon
with Mr. and Mrs. Monk Jeter.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rice and
daughter of Dallas, visited iast
week with Mr. and Mrs. Claud
Rice.
Mrs. Chuck Jowell and son,
Wayne, Mrs. Verlene Yates of
Galena Park and Mrs. Lucille
Yates of Channelview, visited
over the week-end with Mrs. Lela
Selman.
Jimmy and Wayne Chapman
of Dallas, are vacationing with
their grandparents. Mr. and Mrs.
Claud Rice and Mr. and Mrs.
J. S. Chapman of Alto.

Charles R. Murphys were Joe
Fred Cosper of Tyler, Mr. and
Mrs. J. F. Cosper, Alto; Mr.
