their niece, Lynn, in Medical
Center hospital in Tyler where
she had a tonsilectomy.

Use the freezer for aH it's worth,
especially for prepared foods
which can be made ahead in dou
bie quantity to come in handy for
the busiest days. Meat loaves, chili
con came, meat sauce and lasagna
are wonderfu] to have on hand.
If you have meat sauce, layer it
with iasagna noodles, cottage
cheese and Mozzarella cheese for
a very quick and hearty dinner.
Ready-to-bake, refrigerated cin
namon roils with icing can be
popped on top of thickened cherry
pie filling to be baked for a quick,
luscious dessert.
Have some frozen cream of po
tato soup? Heat it with spinach
leaves and strips of fried bologna
foraquick supper. Allyou need
to go with it are a fruit salad an )
beverage.
Quickly baked beans use the
canned product with a iayer of
sliced tomatoes, cheese and bo
togna slices on top to heat througli
while baking.
Slice thickly canned cornet!
beef hash and top with pimiento
strips, piace on pineapple slice
and broil with canned green beans
and potatoes, brushed with butter.
Helen a Favorite:
Tangy Broccoli
(Serves 4-6)
Z packages of frozen broccoli
% cup dairy soured cream
2 teaspoons prepared horse
radish
Dash of paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Cook broccoli according to
packaged directions. Drain well.
Combine remaining ingredients
and blend well. Serve over
cooked broccoli.

Hcrriea Royale: Cut pound cake into %-inch slices, trim of
crusts, and cut each slice in half lengthwise. Stand up piet(^

scoops of vanilla ice cream in each. (Mix crust pieces with pud
ding for a dessert the next day.)
Sour Cream Shortcake: Place fresh sweetened strawberry
halves on slices of pound cake. Top each serving with about 2
tablespoons sour cream and Hprinkle with 1 teaspoon brown
sugar.
Strawberry Puff: Slicc pound cake into two layers. Between
layers place 1 pint sweetened strawherrv halves. Wrap in foil:
