Friends of Mrs. Geo. B. Ter-
rell were shocked to hear of her
death last week. She had many
friends in our community, who
loved her, and her visits here,
which she frequently made will
be missed. 'Wo extend sympathy
to the Lewis Terrell family here
and also the other members of
the Terrell family.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Murphy of
Corrigan. visited in the Claud
Rice home one day last week.
Mr. and Mrs. John Shannon
of Normangee, spent Saturday
and Sunday here with Mrs. Shan-
non's sister, Mrs. Wm. Bolton and
Mr. Bolton.
Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Murphy
and daughter of Dallas, visited
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Engledow
Monday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Moscley of
Tyler visited relatives here Sat-
urday.
Murphy went to Alvin last tues-
day and were joined there by Dr.
G. J. Hayes for a bird hunt to
Uvalde and Gonzales. They were
accompanied as far as Sour Lake
by Mrs. Murphy who visited her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Scales.
They all returned home Saurday.
Mrs. Paul Knous entered Nan
Travis Hospital Wednesday and
will undergo major surgery
Thursday.
We had a guest speaker Sun-
day for the momiiiK worship
[tour. He spoke in behalf of
Texas Alcoholics and Narcotics
Education. He was a good speak-
er and brought a good nr.cssage
for all.
Friends of Mrs. Carl 'Corley
are extending sympathy to her in
the death of her mother recently.
Dennis Rice is still confined to
his bed at home, but I am glad
to report he is feeling better.
