Laurie A. McAdams and Jennifer B. Copen
During late September 2010, undergraduate students in Tarleton State
University's Teacher Education pPogram participated in a Week in the
Schools partnership at Westpark Elementary in Fort Worth Independent
School District. Aligned with Tarleton's Quality Enhancement Plan,
this hands-on field experience enabled Tarleton's preservice teachers to
assume teaching responsibilities over the course of a week. Teachers at
Westpark Elementary served as a phenomenal resource to the Tarleton
students and were also able to participate in on-campus professional du-

of Westpark Elementary School in
Fort Worth Independent School
