Boswell, Bessie B. Hammond, and John
H. Boswell, the children of my first
cousin Mrs. Sarah McCorkle Boswell,

legacy of John H. Boswell shall be
deducted from any amount which he may
owe me at the time of my death.

McCorkle, Nellie McCorkle and James
H. McCorkle, the children of my first
cousin, James H. McCorkle ... each two

Owen, the daughter of the late Rev.

the Protestant Episcopal Church of St.
Martin-in-the-Field, located at the
corner of Willow Grove Avenue and
Thirty-first Street (or St. Martin Avenue)
. .. the lot of ground and the buildings
thereon erected, including the church
and contents, the parish building and
contents, including the Sunday School
and Parish libraries and the rectory,
together estimated to be of the value of
One Hundred thousand dollars. I direct
that the church shall be a free church
forever, and that no pews or sittings
shall ever be rented or sold. I direct that
the rectory shall be occupied by the
rector free of rent and taxes.* Item Fifty-eighth: I have given
so largely from my income during my
life to educational, religious and
charitable institutions, and to private
objects of charity, that I leave to the
surviving members of my family to
continue the system I have practiced
and recommend that they shall never
allow their donations in total to fall
below one-tenth of their income, and
that they continue the payment of the
allowances ordinarily paid by me to the
missionary and other Western Bishops
and to my friend Bishop Neely of the
Diocese of Maine.
* Item Fifty-ninth: All the rest,
residue and remainder of my estate real
and personal, wheresoever the same may
be, I give, devise and bequeath to the
executors hereinafter named in trust to
pay over the net income arising
therefrom in manner following:
* First: . . . out of the said
income . . five thousand dollars
annually to my cousin Sarah Wright
Houston (who for many years has lived
as a member of my family) during her
life.

one hundred and fifty thousand
dollars annually to my cousin William F.
Houston during his life.

to my cousin Henry E. Houston during
