The next meeting of the Swen-
son Literary and Debating Club
will be held at Swenson Satur-
day night April 2nd. The sub-
ject for debate is "Resolve that
an Inventor benefits mankind
more than a Reformer." Every-

The Star man spent Sunday
night at Brandenburg, guest of
Thos. M. Long and lady. Bran-
denburg is a pretty little town
with a good future in sight.

ford left Sunday for their home
in Eastland county, but we ven-
ture the assertion that they will
soon return to Aspermont.
Work on the new reservoir
east of town is progressing nice-
ly and when it is completed we
will have room for an abundance
of water to supply the town for
the present.
Mr. R. B Corder of Herm-
leigh, has been at the bed side
of his brother*this week.

T. P. Holt has closed his res-
taurant and will seek other em-
ployment. is an evident fact

down and his friends will hear of
him in the near future—and he
will be making money, too.
