^ OUR WAY:—Think Clearly,

Aspermont school must grow.
Keep your eye upon it and watch
it develop. Put your shoulder
to the wheel and feel the throb
of its machinery. Speak a good
word for the school: it will be
bread cast upon the waters.
We are not missionaries come
to antagonize the self-satisfied,
the disgruntled, nor the kicker.
In fact, we do not care to lose
any time upon the above mention-
ed individuals. We want the
audience of those who are willing
to co-operate with their fellow-
men in all lines of progress. We
want to labor with those who are
anxious to have better things,
and do greater things.
The mistakes of'the past shall
i^ot consume our time. The
bright side only, please. If you
are not pleased with the school's
past history, if you have an un-
pleasant story to tell about it,
just bury all. We do not care to
know these things.
Just how lazy you think your
neighbor's children are, or how
mean "you know" the boys in
general to be—well, we don't care
to know what you think or know
about it. We will welcome the
good, and the good only do we
appreciate hearing.
We are going to talk about
school work, not school scandal:
or school trouble. When the
general is preparing his attack
he does not study the mistakes of
other chieftains, but he carefully
recounts the maneuvers of those
whose have gone on to victory.
In the open we will do our
laudable labor. In secret we will
deal with the unpleasant emer-
gencies.
Our school is a corporation,
having three principal stock
holders: parents, teachers and
pupils. The parent must be
interested, broad-minded and
public spirited. The teachers
must be intelligent, possessing
practical knowledge of school
work. The pupil must be in-
dustrious and ever ready to fol-
low the course mapped out by
the parent and teacher. The
parent must invest timé and
money; the teacher, labor and
thought; and the pupil, obedience
and study.
If Aspermont's parents, teach-
ers and pupils will make the above
investments and band themselves
together as friends, the Asper-
mont school will never lag, but
will lead in school matters.
Let's see that Aspermont
School is a live wire in the educa-
tional field.
