WEATHER IMPORTANT
FACTOR IN AUTO
DRIVING HAZARD
That motorists on the whole do not
appreciate the extent to which weather
conditions enter into the accident haz-
ards on the streets and highways is in-
dicated by figures just secured by the
American Automobile association from
the Traffic Bureau of Washington
D. D. which recently made an analysis
of accidents in conjunction with
weather conditions.
The Washington Traffic Bureau
found that there were 945 automobile
accidents of all kinds reported for the
month of October. There were ten
rainy days and 21 dry days in Wash-
ington for that month. The analysis
of the accidents disclosed that 421 of
all the accidents occurred on the ten
rainy days or an average of 42 acci-
dents a day. For the 21 dry days
there were reported 521 accidents or
25 accidents a day.
