4 GENERAL AND SPECIAL LAWS.
County Railway Company or by said Trustee and which are now
pending against said Company or said Trustee, or which may be
hereafter given, contracted for or rendered against said Motley
County Railway Company before such consolidation shall have
been completed, and the properties of said Motley County Railway
Company shall be subject to all such debts, judgments,
actions or liens until the same shall have been entirely satisfied
and no defense shall ever be made against any such claims,
suits or actions, liens or judgments by the Quanah, Acme and
Pacific Railway Company, which could not have been made by
the Motley County Railway Company or such Trustee if no consolidation
had ever been authorized or made.
SEC. 4. The fact that much higher freight rates now exist on
the Motley County Railway by reason of a special short line
differential allowed said road than will exist after the consolidation
herein provided for, and the further fact that such consolidation
will insure the people served by such short line road
or more satisfactory and better railway service in the future,
coupled with the crowded condition of the calendar, create an
emergency and an imperative public necessity that the constitutional
rule requiring bills to be read on three several days in
each House be suspended, and that this Act be in force and take
effect from and after its passage, and it is so enacted.

PASSENGER FARES.

An Act authorizing Wichita Falls and Southern Railroad Company
Wichita Falls and Southern Railway Company, and Wichita Falls,
Ranger and Fort Worth Railroad Company and Their Successors,
Lessees and Assigns to Use 3.6 cents Per Mile as the Basic Unit for
the Construction of All Passenger Fares for Adults and Corresponding
Fares for Children on and over Their Lifes of Railroad So Long as
Such Unit Shall be Used as the Basis for Passenger Fares on the
Principal Railroads of Texas.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. Wichita Falls and Southern Raliroad Company,
Wichita Falls and Southern Railway Company, and Wichita
Falls, Ranger and Fort Worth Railroad Company and their successors,
lessees and assigns are hereby authorized to use 3.6
