Thence south following the west line of League 546 to the
intersection of said league line with the south line of Section 12
in League 546;
Thence west following the south line of said Section 12 to the
southwest corner thereof;
Thence south along the west line of Sections 13, 24, 25, 36, 1,
12, and 13 in Leagues 547, 550 and 561 to the southwest corner of
Section 13 in League 561;
Thence east along the south line of Sections 13, 18 and 17
(crossing P. at which time five trustees,
who shall be resident citizens and qualified voters within said
district shall be elected and serve in accordance with the provisions
of this Act and the General Laws of the State.
SEC. 3. The said Oklahoma Independent School District as
created by this Act shall have and exercise and is hereby vested
with all the rights, powers, privileges and duties of a town incorporated
under the General Laws of this State for free school
purposes only, and the board of trustees of said Oklahoma Independent
School District shall have and exercise all the rights,
powers, privileges and duties conferred and imposed by the General
Laws of Texas upon the trustees of independent school districts,
incorporated under the General Laws of the State for free
school purposes only.
SEC. 4. It is hereby expressly provided that the Oklahoma
Independent School District as created by this Act shall assume
and discharge any and all indebtedness constituting valid and
binding obligations of Common School District N. 10, of Parmer
County, Texas, as heretofore created and established by the
county school trustees of said county.
SEC. 5. The title to all property now owned, held by, and
belonging to Common School District No. 10, of Parmer County,
shall, upon the passage of this Act, pass to and vest in the trustees
of said Oklahoma Independent School District to be held,
