Billy McCutcheon announces
his candidacy for re-election
Billy J. McCutheon, has filed for
re-election for county commissioner
Precinct 4, in the Democratic pri-
mary election to be held March 13,
1990.
McCutheon said "a good working
relationship of the court has kept
taxes as low as possible with all the
state mandates put on the county
government. The county now haB a
map and a road numbering system
that is nearing completion that will
be a benefit to all people. The court
is working on a solid waste program
for the county at this time."
"I have been a full time working
commi Bsioner for Cherokee County,"
McCutheon said, "and answering
calls as soon as possible; keeping an
open mind of the issues that arise
within the county."
He adds, "I have represented the
people honestly and impartially to
the beBt of my ability and will con-
tinue to do so if re-elected for an-
other term in office. I have kept the
roads maintained as well as pos-
sible considering the bad weather
that hit the county in the past. It is
my aim to continue improving them
in the future and with the experi-
ence that I have had I feel that I am
better qualified to serve the county
as county commissioner the next
four year term."
McCutheon took office in Janu-
ary, 1987. He has been a resident of
New Summerfield for the past 26
years. He is married to the former
Elizabeth Irwin of the Ponta-New
Summerfield area. The couple has
four children.
