football, I<eon. You were really
missed and played a very good
game against Alto.

Eagles Win Over Alto
Bauford Williams
In a thrilling game at Alto Fri-
day night the Rusk Eagles show-
ed us that they would give some-
body some tough competition in
district play this year by taking a
hardfought game from Alto by the
score of 20-7.
The Eagles scored early in tho
first quarter and twice more in
the second half with Booker, Webb
and Watson carrying the ball over.
Alto got their lone touchdown late
in the first half to be ahead at the
end of the first half. The Eagles
made good yardage through the
air with one pass play going all
the way,
All who were at the game Fri-
day night saw how the student
body was behind the Eagles and
if they will be that way Friday
night at Troup, I predict that Rusk
will again be on the big end of
the score.
Leland's prediction: Rusk 27,
Troup 13.
