Opportunity is knocking at
Brownsville's door right now and
we should make haste to catch it
bv the forelock. Remember that
Opportunity is bald behind.
The board of trade of Corpus
Christi will raise a fund to bore an
artesian well for the public benefit
oi that city. That is what Browns
ville hopes to see done here very
shortly.
The revolutionists have taken
San Domingo the capital of Santo
Domingo and General Pcppin
tlkii leader will probably become
President. This will no doubt make
Fresi'lent Vasquez the present
chief excciitive a revolutionist
himself. So the ball is kept rolling
in tho lively little republic of Santo
Domingo.
' With such men as John G
Xenedy R. J. Kleberg and J. B
Armstrong taking an active part in
the Lott railroad project the peo
plo of Brownsville should feel
entirely confident that it is a bona
fide enterprise. There can be no
doubt that this railroad is coming
provided the bonus be raised and
there can be no doubt that the sub
stantial la"nd owners and business
men of Brownsville will see that it
is raised.

In the springtime able and ex
perienced physicians urge upon
those who are subject to headaches
the use of Paine's Celery Com
pound. In tens of thousands of cases
this wonderful remedy has produc
ed happy and permanent results
after all other modes of treatment
failed. Unlike other medicines
claiming popular attention Paine's
Qelery Compound gives prompt and
effective results. It gives to weak
and sick people an immediate sup-
ply of nerve force with pure blood
active liver and perfect digestive
vigor. The work of Paine's Celery
Compound is not a simple releav-
ing of pain; it effectually reaches
the root and causes of disease and
permanently banishes the trouble.
Mrs. Darley Franklin 111. sa3's:
''After trying in vain several rem

Mrs. Benjamin Pern- of North

''Paine's Celery Compound is the
best medicine on earth. Three years
ago I was taken with inflammation
of the bladder and nervous nros-

be alive today if it had not been for
the use of Paine's Celery Compound."
