The schooner Flower of Frauce
is loading at Galveston for Browns
ville.
Bananas from Hidalgo county
are retailed on the streets here at
' -50 cents Mexican money per
dozen. They are of fair qnalit'.
The Laredo Times reports the
. -death in that city last Friday of
Mrs. Rafaela MacMahon aged 47
3' ears who was a native of Mata-
inoros Mexico having resided in
Laredo about twelve years.
On and after Saturday next the
summer schedule on the liio
Grande railroad will he in. effect
the train leaving for Point Isabel
at five p. m. and returning to
Brownsville iu the morning siart-
iug from the Point at 7 o'clock.

Attentiou is called to the notice
of pianos for sale elsewhere iu
this paper. These are the celebrat-
ed Connor piauos which are de-
clared by all piano players to be
first class in every way. They are

ed by the district attorney for want
of evidence to convict.
