sician, portrayed by Martin
Fannon; Mrs. Haggett, the
doctor's wife, Paula Olden-
kamp; Ada, their oldest
daughter, Linda Walker; and
Susan, the other daughter,
Frances White field.
The production^ stafFTs

The play concerns a lam-
ily of New Englanders who
have, years before, given
refuge to a great artist. The
play opens some years after
Bean's death with an ex-
cited world in persuit of his
WOrk'Accoi'ding to director
Wayne Toone, 'The play has
presented a particular amount
of pleasure to the cast and
drew during our involvement
in its production. In a day
and time when, perhaps, some
'of our basic values in regard
to money and property seem
to be a little lackadaisical,
it is rather a pleasure to
return, by way of drama, to a
simpler time and find that
some of our basic problems
are Uie same than as now.
'We are particularly
pleased at this time to be
doing a play whose setting
is in the last days of the de-
pression and yet shows that
there was still an amount of
joy to be found in the peo-
ple despite their difficult
financial circumstances. We
believe that this is a play
that can be seen and enjoyed
by young and old alike.'
