THE GALLEON.

ALL NATURE IS AN OPEN BOOK
All nature is an open book for those
Whose eyes are hungry for her hidden things;
And Truth, that fount from which all beauty spring
Like life-blood, through her every aspect flows.
We read, like one who in strange antique tales
Finds treasured beauties, old yet ever new,
A sensous quest for fancy to pursue
In moon crowned nights, through dim enchanted dales.
Or as some bearded seer of ancient day
Pondering in wonder on the star flecked scroll
Of night, read how the changeless seasons roll
In their determined cycles, we survey
The obvious forms of nature with keen eyes
That see where life's unuttered secret lies.
