cher for the Church in
MADRID, Spain:—On Sunday,
Jan 15, from 6 p.m. through
8:30, the church that meets at 25
Teruel Street, in Madrid, held a
business meeting to report about
the work carried out during
1977. The contents of this article
is the result of the matters
discussed in the meeting.
On 31 Dec. 1977, the Madrid
church had 261 members regis-
tered in the Registration book.
Some of these members have
moved to live in some other
places and others do not attend
services regularly. But that is
the number of church members
the congregation has. A total of
21 persons were baptized in the
church during 1977.
The church young-people held
meetings during every Saturday
and Sunday last year; they

This is the report and situation
of the Madrid church during
1977. ’ I think there is not any
other church out of the United
States, made up by nationals,
with an activity, devotion and
sense of responsibility as the
Madrid church. We ask all the
brethren to pray for us, and to
ask God that during 1978 we
may accomplish even a greater
task. (Juan A. Monroy, Apar-
tado 2.029, Madrid-2, Spain).

held on 15 January, it was
agreed to raise 5 special contri-

collect $5,000 to be delivered to
the Alcorcon congregation for
their repair expenses in the new

The church in Madrid publish-
es a monthly magazine named
“Restauration”, which is dis-
tributed in 16 countries. The
magazine readers have contrib-
uted during 1977 with a total of
$3,895 as a help to the magazine.
The total of this amount was
published in the December 1977
issue of the magazine.
All amounts mentioned in this
report are the contribution of
the Spanish brethren, especially
from the Madrid church, for the
Lord’s work during 1977. The
money we have in the special
fund for the Preachers Training
School is from the United States
brethren. This fund is as fol-
