The Howard Payne chapter
of Alpha Lambda Delta, the
national honor fraternity for
freshmen wojnen, inducted five
new members into the organi-
zation Tuesday night during a
traditional ceremony.
The inductees are: Janice
Cartwright, Mary Echols, Gly-
nis Holm, Patricia J. Jackson
and Kay Moseley. The mem-
bers are chosen on a basis of
a 3.5 grade point average on
a 4.0 system.
This marks the tenth year
for the Alpha Lambda Delta

AWS ANNOUNCES
BANQUET
The Association of Women
Students will hold their an-
nual banquet Thursday even-
ing at 5 in Veda Hodge Cafe-
teria to which all female stu-
dents are urged to attend.
During the banquet the an-
nouncement of the new of-
ficers for next year and the
awards for outstanding coed
students will be made.
The guest speaker has not
been announced."

English Proficiency Test which
was originally scheduled for

Coggin Theatre stage April
24-25 under the direction of
students James Webb and Don
Staggs.
Under the direction of Staggs,
Bob Pitchford, David Currie
and Karen Kingston will por-
tray parts in a story of two
young lovers as they near their
last days of life.
Bruce Ross, Karen Berrey
and Linda Baldwin star in a
comic-tragedy or a tragic
comedy of a couple that live
with her mother and the
problems they encounter. This
portion of the play is to be
directed by Webb.
