Beef Is
A Natural
From tbe Texas Dept.
Of Agriculture
By Marian Balke
Marketing Specialist
Beef has long been consi-
dered the main course of a
meal. Beef a natural, com-
plete source of high quality
protein also has all the
amino acids necessary to
build, maintain and repair
body tissue along with B
vitamins, iron and phospho-
rus.
Texas is the number one
cattle producing state in the
nation providing more than
6.1 billion pounds (live-
weight) beef compared to
39.2 billion pounds in the
U.S. last year.
The wide variety of fresh,
cured, frozen and ready to
serve beef cuts offers the
consumer almost unlimited
selection. No matter how a
consumer purchases beef it
is important that a person
deals with a retailer who
has a reputation of consis-
tently high-quality products
and service.
Chuckwagon Beef ‘N’ Be-
ans adds the flavor of sau-
sage seasoning to the beef
and is an all in one meal,
which can be made ahead of
time for the busy family:
