On Inst Thursday evening the
Epworth League of the .Southern
Methodist church gave a reception
at the hospitable and elegantly
appointed home of Judge and
Mrs. .1. W. Hill.
Quite a large crowd numbering
some seventy-live or one hundred
people was present. The evening
sped away on rapid wings as
music songs recitations and con-
versation each contributed liber-
ally toward annihilating time.
The object of the recent ion was to
get books as a foundation for a
Sunday -chool library and each
guest contributed to that worthv
