visionally qualifying 12
athletes. Coach Crousen
and the McMurry Univer-
sity track team found out
late Monday night who
made the list for the Na-
tional Championships and
only two of her athletes
were picked up Sophomore
Darcell Edwards and senior
Cheyenne Oldham w ill both
be competing for National
Championships on March
8th and 9th at Ohio North-
ern University in Ada Ohio
Oldham was the
only automatic qualifier
when she cleared 1 1 '3 34"
in the pole vault on Febru-
ary 21rd at the Oklahoma
Christian University meet
This will be her first attempt
for an indoor national
championship She is cur-
icntly ranked 15th in the na-
tion She will be a return-
ing All-Amencan lor the
Lady Indians vv hen outdoor
track starts
Edwards will
make her second appear-
ance at the Indoor National
Championships as she
jumped in the long jump
last year This year she will
be competing in triplejump
and the long jump She is
currently ninth in the nation
in the triple jump and 12th
in the nation in the long
jump She provisionally
qualified for the long jump
on January 25th at the Texas
lech indoor meet with a
jump of 1 83" Then on
February 2nd with a jump
of 37'7 14" she provision-
ally qualified in the triple
jump at the Red Raider
Classic in Lubbock
When the outdoor
season starts she will be the
returning national cham-
pion in the triplejump Last
year she won the triple
jump on her last attempt at
