regulations
Friday morning China is-
sued strict import
regulations on consumer
goods from the United States
and other countries. These
regulations include the reg-
istration of all high tech
goods being imported. The
regulations will curb smug-
gling and give an advantage
to Chinese state industries.

better
Observers at a Moscow
news conference say Rus-
sian President Boris Yeltsin
spoke clearly and looked
well. Reports over the last
few weeks have said Yeltsin
was very sick and near dy-
ing. FBI chemist find
explosive traces in
TWA flight
FBI senior offical says a
chemist found traces of a
chemical used in explosive
devices in the passenger
cabin of the TWA Flight 800
that killed 231 people almost
five weeks ago. While the
evidence suggests a bomb it
is presently impossible to de-
termine what type of device
was used.

Christian Athletes will

Bear football coach and pres-
ently the executive director
of the American Football
Coaches Association
graduaded from McMurry in
1956.
A breakfast Thursday
morning in the Hunt PE cen-
ter will begin the week. At
8:00 p.m. Grace normally
held at University Baptist
Church will be in Radford
Auditorium. Friday a guest
will speak in the cafeteria.
Shoup Jr. elected chair of Board

George Shoup Jr. was
elected chair of the
University's Board of Trust-
ees. A Trustee since 1990 he
currently chairs the Building
and Grounds Committee.
Three new members were
appointed as Trustees. The
Distinguished Alumnus

of the Athletic Hall of Honor
and an honorary doctorate

Saturday the football game
against Hardin Simmons be-
gins at 7:00 p.m. Here not
only will McMurry players
be on fire to win a game but
also on fire for the Lord as
the team will do witnessing
before the game. Sunday
morning a worship service
will begin in Radford 10:00
a.m.
FCA features a wide range
of activities throughout the
year. Regular meetings are
every other Tuesday night at
8:00 p.m. in the Presidential
Dining Room. Assistant foot-
ball coach Marty Secord is
the FCA sponsor.
'68 a physician was named
a Trustee from the Northwest
Texas Annual conference.
Holland Evans '66 president
of the McMurry Alumni
Board will serve as an ex-
officio member of the Board.
Last semester the Board ap-
proved a 5.4 percent increase
in tuition the addition of a
student activity fee of $25 per
semester requested by MSG
as well as an increase in the
general fee from $20 to $25
that will be used to maintain
and supplement the campus'
computer technology.
