By Gayla Sherman

Last Saturday night was a
special evening for 18-year-old

Durhan ifirst runner-up;
Laurel Sparks third runner-
up; and Kim Capps fourth
runner-up. This summer Miss
Lee will represent Brownwood
in the 1980 Miss Texas
Pageant in Ft. Worth.
In talking with Miss Lee she
said that this year's pageant
was unique in that "everyone
helped one another...in other
pageants you would not be
able to see that because the
girls would be so worried
about themselves." Miss Lee
also said that she got to know
all of the girls very well. In

her many achievements she
was crowned Miss United

Lee the title of Lions Club
Queen. May 2 she will par-
ticipate in the Lions club
District Finals. In addition
Miss Lee reigned as the 1979
Football Sweetheart of
Brownwood High School.
Miss Lee enjoys music
swimming tennis dancing
and traveling. As Miss United
Texas Teenager she traveled
to Europe for 9 days of
early. However I do need to
borrow a racquet from
someone."
The Mad Mexican replied by
saying "I don't know what this
gringo thinks he's doing. He
once told me he could play
racquetball and when we
played I watched him stand
around while his partner was
run ragged. I'm sure he doesn't
even know which end of the
tennis racquet to hold. In the
words of Pancho Villa:
