Volunteers Honor
Missionary at Tea
Miss Mary Sue Brown mission-
ary to Brazil was the guest of
honor at a tea given by the Vol-
unteers Wednesday afternoon in
the parlor of President hall.
The hostesses for the tea were
Mrs. Luther Kirk of Pcrryton
Texas and Miss Monta McFadln
hostess of President hall. The guest
of honor is a personal friend of
Miss McFadln.
Mrs. Kirk is the secretary of
student work of the Women's So-
cicty for the Northwest Texas Con-
ference of the Methodist church.

Service Stripes
Nine pledges were formally in-
itiated into membership of Wah
Wahtayscc Monday afternoon in a
ceremony directed by Emily Led-
better president.
Following the initiation service
stripes were awarded to 21 other
members for previous service. Hon-
orees for a later dinner were the
new members.

Gives Tea
Alpha Psi Omega gave their an-
nual after dinner coffee Friday eve-
ning in President hall lounge. The
organization's colors amber and
blue were used throughout the
lounge.
In the receiving line were Bar-
bara Douglass president; Mrs.
Edith Grimes sponsor; Jo Ann
Akens Elizabeth Carter and Bob
Miller.
Nell McFall presided at the reg-
ister. Mrs. Bill Adams poured at
the serving table which was deco-
rated with white lace over bluo
satin. Amber dahlias adorned tho
table.
Approximately sixty speech ma-
jors and minors and faculty mem-
bers called between 6:00 and 7:30.
