The Tracings was an irregular newsletter first appearing in 1982 and running until 2002. It was published in Palestine, Texas by Anderson County Genealogical Society.

- First published winter 1982 (Vol. 1, No. 1); ended in November 2002 (Vol. 20, No. 2).
- Frequency: semiannual 1982-1985 (vol. 1-4); quarterly winter 1986-1988 (vol. 5-6); irregular 1988-1990 (vol. 7-9); three times per year 1991-1997 (vol. 10-16); semiannual 1999-2002 (vol. 17-20).
- According to the note in the first volume, The Tracings is a 'quarterly' publication, however, the second volume amended this to say "The Tracings is published twice yearly in January and in September by the Anderson County Genealogical Society."
- Per Vol. 9, No. 2: ""Due to the change in our fiscal year, this issue is the next one after Vol. 8 no. 2. There is no Vol. 9 No. 1."
