Dear Mima William
I think as if I am in my day dream. I repeat to read
letter from you and had it when I got on and off and walked.
I wait you cbme to Japan on June 21. In June Ibaraki is
very wet but Ibaraki Christian College's campus is covered
with green grass all over and a white cloud is looked keep
in blue sky. It looks painted in my remembering there now.
I have just summer vacation on July. So I will be doing
for you as well as I can . . .
If you come Tokyo please always call me. As I will go
to meet let me know what by you come.
I wait you from now.
Ibaraki Christian College changed now. Because in last
year junior high school built.
When I was student I could not see junior high school
students are walking in campus.
College will grow more and more. It is owe to sponser
by many American and take pride in IV for- our graduated
students. t
Sincerely Yours

bark for England June 0 to carry
on a month-long evangelistic
campaign In Aylesbury (pop. 23-
000) and In London Or. Batsell
Barrett Baxter informed the Mis-
sion Study Class March 20.
Baxter head of the David Lips-
comb Bible Department said he
will preach oft nightly meetings

Baxter lauded a similar cam-
paign which was carried on by a
group of 40 workers Summer
1061 in the Wembley seatlon of
London. At that time 18 British-
ers and 20 American citizens were
baptized. The Wembley congre-'
gaftion now numbers 03.

FRY A CITY FATHER
"It was a tough fight but I
won" quipped Neil Fry after the
election for tho Place 5 City
Council man in which he ran un-
opposed. Fry then said he was
grateful for the vote of confi-
dence given him by the people of
Atylene and feels that it shows
the fooling of the citizens toward
(he Citizens Charter Committee.
"I will do my beat" said Fry
"to conduct the affairs of tho city
in a dignified business way. I
hope that when ithls term of

early June.
Miss Mima Ann Williams as-
sistant professor of English at
Abilene Christian College plans
to go spend eight weeks in Japan
conduating three English work-
shops at Ibaraki Christian Col-
lege. Tow of the workshops jolnttly
sponsored by the Ibaraki govern-
ment and Ibaraki Christian Col-
lege will be attended by Jap-
anese public school teachers in
the Ibaraki ..prefecture (state).
The third workshop will be a
sories 'of lectures on modern
American literature to be given
to ICC students.
Miss Lynelle Witt Amarillo
sophomore English major will
accompany Miss Williams to
Ibaraki in order to assirit her in
the classes and to serve as a bad-
ly needed typist for ICC.
Both women are traveling en-
tirely at their own expense and
both will assls in personal mis-
sion work wb'le in Japan. 'This
is a kind of missionary jaunt for
both of us" laughed Miss Wll-
lams. Through her correspondence
with ICC about her support of
students there Miss Williams
first learned of the workshops
which have been up to now con-
ducted by the American mission-
aries in Japan. She volunteered
to teach the workshops because
she saw their need for a teacher
trained in the English language
and methods of teaching it
Although Miss William's 50 to
00 Japcncso teacher-students will
be able to grasp her lectures in
English she believes that her ap-
proach to teaching grammar will
begin about on the third level.
Nick Nagano head of the ICC
English department has asked her
to concentrate on English word
order pronunciation by explain-
ing Ito her Japanese students
'1how it feels" to say English
words.
In all phases of the teaching
however M'ss Williams believes
she will need to use "more drill
than anything else."
