Banquet Given For Ministers
By Auxiliary Friday Night

A memory of the "good old days"
of courtship under n star-lit sky wns
renewed In the minds of many II-SU
students and mndo real to others ns
tho Ministerial Auxiliary entertained
tho Ministerial Council with an In-
formal banquet Frday night.
Many II-SU ministerial students
and faculty members and wives and
dates attended. Dr. W. R. White II-
SU president wns main speaker and
Fred Molkcnthln acted n8 toastmastcr.
A galaxy of stars was tho theme
used and each speaker on tho pro-
gram was given tho name of a star
that properly identified their ad-
dresses. Those on tho rogrnm were Abe Hes-
ter president of the Ministerial Coun-
cil Mrs. Sam Brian president of tho
Auxiliary Mrs. N. A. Moore It. T.
Barton Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Dandignac
and Dr. E. B. Atwood.
CoDins Attends
San Antonio Meet
Dr. R. A. Collins. Dcnn of Stu-
dents attended tho Tcxns Council of
Church Related Colleges held at San
Antonio December 0 and 7 in the
Plaza Hotel and Incnrnntc Word
College.
Cooperation between denomination
and church schools was the theme of
the convention. Dr. Collins took part
in a discussion on scholarships.
The Council is composed of thirty
schools Catholic and Protestant and
has been a member of tho national
conference since its organization in
November 1937.
Dr. Gordon Singleton President of
Mary Hardin-Bnylor made the key-
note address. "Church schools should
not forget ideals for which churches
establish colleges and should at nil
times earn confidence of their mother
churches" according to Dr. Singleton.

Minister Auxiliary
The Minister's Auxiliary met
Thursday in tho homo of Mrs. Posey.
Mrs. W. R. White brought an out-
standing message to tho "wife of a
minister.-
The next meeting will be on Jan-
uary 9. Regular meeting dates have
been changed from the first and third
Thursdays to the second nnd fourth.
All students minister's wives are
urged to attend.
Choir Praised
On Recent Tour
Praiso for tho H-SU A Cnppella
Choir which recently completed a
tour of 23 cities and towns Is still
coming In from all points visited on
tho tour.
They sang before more than ten
thousand people within one week de-
spite unfavorable weather conditions.

Rubcnsteln's 'Seraphic Song' Simp-
ler's 'Make a Joyful Noise' and the
populnr 'Oh Susannah' were excel
