News & Features Editor
During your time in college
you may decide to get a job. In Moody
Center room 21 5 you'll find the
career services office. The career
services office is where a student can
receive help in choosing a career or
finding a job.
According to career services
director Jennifer Phillips there are a
few things that you may want to con-
sider when choosing a job. "First you
may want to choose something in
your field of study or a job related to
your field of study. Secondly make
sure that you pick a job that balances
with your school schedule well.
Generally 10-15 hours are good for a
college student" said Phillips adding If
a student has a hard time looking for
a job they can come and visit me in
my office."
The Career Services office
provides several services to help stu-
dents. A undecided major can get help
choosing the right field for them by a
few tests also career services pro-
vides one on one personal counseling
as well as frequently updated lists of
available jobs both on and off cam-
pus. If a student is unsure .whether or
not that they qualify for on-campus
work they can either visit the financial
aid office or career services.
