Rebuilding in the Ruins
By Jenny Forehand
After the hijacking of four American planes and the use of those planes to attack the World Trade Towers and the Pentagon which
caused the collapse of the towers and thousands of deaths the American people have tried to go gain some sense of normalcy while
preparing for a new kind of war.
The government business and transportation are starting up again but there have been several problems and precautionary meas-
ure taken.
The Capitol Building was evacuated yesterday after a bomb threat and a suspicious package was seen. Thcpackages turned out to
be non-hazardous.
The evacuation occurred as both houses were working together on a bill that would grant tax relief to the victims of terrorism a
bill that the House has already passed.
Baseball has resumed all scheduled games. The NFL has
canceled all games through this weekend. NASCAR has also
ltbeen postponed.

been several arrests in relation to the attacks. These tips and the heightened security in all US airports has lead to several arrests and
further clues.
One man was arrested at the JFK Airport Thursday when he was caught with a fake pilot's after he had already been through
security. Three men were found in the Laguardia Airport posing as crewmembers.
Intelligence officials say there were at least 18 hijackers at least five on each flight that crashed in New York and at least 4 each
on the flights that crashed in Washington DC and Pennsylvania.
Osama bin Laden is the primary suspect in the attack. The hijackers are thought to be of the same group of Bin Ladan's followers
that bombed the USS Cole.
Bin Laden moved locations after the attacks occurred. The Afghanistan government has also been moving and preparing for an
attack. Officials say that there could be a raid in Afghanistan as early as this weekend.
