Originally from Amarillo Texas
Micha Bbyett is completing her studies at
Hardin-Simmons with a major in English
and a minor in Leadership. Micha spends
her time being involved in such organiza
tions as Student Congress
and Sigma Alpha a woman's sorority.
She was part of the Steering Committee
at this fall's New Student Orientation.
Micha was also the literary editor last
year for the Corral- an annual student
publication of writings and artwork.
She is not exactly sure where these
plans will lead her but she does know
that she will be applying for graduate
school and continuing her education.
Micha offers this comment. This is a
really great honor. I'm really excited. The
other nominees in the court are amazing
wonderful girls I greatly enjoy being
nominated with them.'

Caran Clark
Caran Clark is a Bible major and
Psychology minor from Gainesville
Texas. There she became real involved in
her youth group and found a passion for
missions. Some of the most notable mis-
sion trips' after being part of 9 were
her trip to Sweden the most secular
European country and her recent trip to
Israel for an archaeological dig in which
she comments that the history and
culture helped to give her faith hands and
feet.
Caran is currently chaplain of Sigma
Alpha. She plans tq'pursue more educa-
tion in order to receive her doctorate.
From there she anticipates working on
staff at a church as a Christian counselor.
Instead of being a family and marriage
counselor her passion lies in finding bet
ter ways to share and spread the gospel to
those whose hearts and minds are hurting.
Caran would like to leave everyone with
a quote by Billy Graham that has seemed
relevant to her this semester - "God's will
will never take you anywhere that His
grace will not sustain you."

myself and in doing so staying true to my
beliefs my faith in Christ and what I
know is right andwrong...then there is no
way for me to be "fake" with anyone. I
also think it is extremely important to '
laugh... and laugh a lot."
