The Hope for die Future scholarship pro-
gram has raised $51 1000 for the general

Program organizers set a goal to raise
$2 million per year for the next five years
and have planned a. variety of fund-raisers
to accomplish this goal he said.
In addition to a regular series of fund-
raising letters ACU will send a videotape
letter to alumni and friends of the univer-
sity Tyson said.
This is the first time a vidcp letter will
be used by ACU he said
A third way the university plans to raise
money for the scholarship program is to
continue having more dinners Tyson

March and April throughout Texas he
said.
The national steering committee for the
Hope for the Future program met Sunday
afternoon to discuss further fund-raising
plans and goals Tyson said.
The Hope for the Future scholarship
program is the first concerted effort to
raise money for the general scholarship
fund rather than specific scholarships
