Presidents' Council of the Lone Star
Conference In San Antonio atithe
NCAA national convention.
"The president's chair is the scat of
power for the conference" Money
said. "The way it is set up this year's
vice president will be next year's pres-
ident" he said.
The presidency rotates among presi-
dents of the nine conference schools
each school year with the transition
occurring during the summer Money
said.
As president during the 1994-95
school year Money will preside oyer
the annual meeting of the conference
which usually is in connection with the
NCAA convention. He also will deter-
mine the agenda for council meetings
and serve as a coordinator.
Money said "You really have two
organizations. You have the presi-
dents' group and the conference
which includes athletic directors fac
ulty representatives and presidents

state policies within the conference such as
determining mandatory sports adding possible

the number of athletic scholarships the universi-
ties will offer Money said.
