In 1971 Sandra Elaine Lee married Vance
C. Rucker, Jr., at her parents' home in
Keithville. In 1977 a son, Shawn Glenn
Rucker, was born at Bentonville, Arkansas.
In 1979 Sandra and Vance Rucker went to
Arkadelphia, Arkansas and attended Ouchi-
tia Baptist University, graduating with Bach-
elor of Science degrees in education in 1983.
They teach at Alvarado Middle School.
In 1978 the Lee family moved back to
Meridian and reside at David's parents' old
home place in east Meridian. They attend
church at First Baptist Church, Cranfills
Gap.

Grover Gillespie, third child of Samuel
Leigon and Sarah Adline Mounce was born
1885 in Stokes County, North Carolina. His
older brother, Charles William (1881) and
sister Nancy Elizabeth (1883), were also born
there. When Grover was about oen year old,
the family along with Sarah's parents, Wil-
liam P. and Nancy Jane Mounce, three
brothers, John, Joe and James and four
sisters, Minerva Jane, Elizabeth, Dorothy
and Mary moved to Texas. They arrived in
Waco by train and settled in the Compton
community of McLennan County.
Three additional children were born to
Samuel and Sarah's family: Walter Adolphus
(1887), Samuel Lenzie (1889) and Fannie Lee
(1891). Samuel Leigon died 1892.
Sarah married Thomas W. Messer, a
farmer, in 1895 and moved to Bosque County
where her children grew to adulthood.
Grover married Sallie Rachel Cousin, his
schoolday sweetheart, in Walnut Springs,
1908. Sallie, born in Mississippi, was the
daughter of John Richard Cousin and Celia
