The morning unit rill met in the

a. ri The evening unit -ill meet in the
hane of Mrs. Ivan Schulze, 610 Woodland,
Thurs., April 26, at 7:30 p. m.
"Fire, Police and Jails" vill be the
unit subjects May 9 and 10. "Streets,
Transportation and Public Utilities" will
be the topic Hay 23 and 24*

VIhile spring bouquets are being
gathered as the Provisional L;7V of Denton
rounds out its first year this April,
our best one is reserved for Mrs. Sam
Ziegler of Dallas, state field consult-
ant.
Mrs. Ziegler, with a background of
many years of LVV service in varied cap-
acities, has faithfully steered us through
our first year. She is always present
at board meetings with good counsel, good
humor and her sack lunch. To her we say,
unabashedly, Irs. Ziegb r, you're wonder-

erent points of view, worked through the

265 POLL TAXES COLLECTED
BY L-T IN FIRST CAMPAIGN
The Denton Provisional IAW collected
265 poll taxes during January in its first
effort. The campaign was hampered by se-
vere weather conditions, but still set a
high mark. Mrs. Clifford S. Blackburn was
in charge.
