bers coming into Austin agree

is behind it all, bemoan the fact
the committee was inadequately
financed for its work, and the

000 deficiency appropriation.

For Burial.
Mrs. C. C. Adams, formerly
of Jacksboro, but residing in
Wausa, Nebraska the past sever-
al years, died at her home there,
Friday, August 23rd. The body
was brought here for burial, the
funeral being held at the First
Baptist Church, Tuesday, Aug.
27th, with the pastor, Rev. A. R.
Bilberry, conducting the service.
Interment was in Oakwood cem-
etery.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her
husband, Mr. Charles C. Adams

themselves are saying nothing
concerning a move for a new oil
and gas commission, other legisla-
tors predict an effort will be made
for an appointive board, to con-
sist of well qualified members, to
be appointed by a divided author-
ity in order to prevent organiza-
tion of a political machine.
It was said here today that
while E. O. Thompson, chairman
of the commission, very recently
ordered that earthen pits in the
East Texas field be destroyed
within 30 days, the law allows 60
days. What procedure the chair-
man will follow has not been dis-
closed, nor has any penalty suit
yet been filed. Attorney General
McCraw, while not opposing the
Brownlee, W. E. Rhoades, Kirk
Stewart, Will Mathis, H. H. Glaz-
ner and C. C. Hawkins. '

al. Mr. Adams left Sunday for
his home in Wausa, Nebraska.
