young officer of tho aviation division
of the United States army, who en-
tered the service when war was de-
clared against Germany, and still re-
mains at his post of duty. Ills bride
was reared in McKinney where she
has resided most of her life until the
past two years, during which time
her father and family made their
home nt Waxahnchie. She is a gradu-
ate of the McKinney High school and
also attended Helton Female College
at Helton, and a term and a half at
Trinity University Waxahnchie. She
is a talented, modest young lady, fair
of face and cultured, who Is a prize
Indeed of the gallant young offleer
who won her hand and heart. They
will reside In Balia* for the present
nt least.
Jaek Pierce, son of Mrs. Nellie
Pierce of this city, arrived home
! Saturday night from Camp Pike, Ar-
kansas, where he received his honor-
able discharge from the United States
Army. Jack was a member of the

Jack had been in the hospital for
some time, and came over ahead of
the Thirty-sixth. He is looking well
and is glad to lie back. His many
friends are extending to him the glad

Hurrus Rifles in this city, which was
later attached to the Thirty-sixth. He
made a splendid soldier, went through
with the many hardships, and it is
gratifying to his numerous friends in
McKinney to see him back home.

Vineland was ended to Denton to
preach the funeral of IjouIk M. Tucker,
who died at his late home In that rity
at 6:10 a. m. Friday after years of

stomach. His funeral was attended by
